The vast space in the centre of the Kapana, delimited by Zagreb Street and Pavel Kurtevich Street, has been turned into an outdoor stage. Initially, the idea was to have concerts there every week in order to provide live music for the Quarter of Creative Industries in the process of preparing Plovdiv for a Cultural Capital of Europe. The music programme Kapana 2019: The Beginning, which took place on the Nucleus open stage, marked the opening weekend of the cultural capital with live performances of trendy contemporary Bulgarian musicians. A number of events included in the programme of the Capital of Culture take place there with the help of such platforms as Merging, Transforming, Reviving and Relaxing – world premieres, Short films in the open, the Night of Museums and Galleries, a lot of music, rhythm and good mood. There are small galleries in the vicinity that represent great art, there are functioning workshops and appealing restaurants for all who might be tempted to try the atmosphere of the Kapana.
