The monument in honour of the medieval ruler Khan Krum was unveiled in 2006 and is the largest in Bulgaria. Since then the location has been an important cultural stage where concerts, theatrical performances and holiday events take place. The monument is also known as the best slide in Trakia because children of all ages use the marble slate sloping down the stairs to slide throughout the year.
