The place is actually the Marukian Square – the name of a well known Armenian family, whose ancestor found his new home in Plovdiv in 1925, fleeing from the genocide in Turkey. Around the square there are the Marukian hardware shop, the Bakaliko Greek grocery, the Papa’s tapas restaurant, the DiVino Café. On workdays and festive days alike, Shirokoto v Kapana offers multicultural multifaceted horizons.
