Kamenitsa 2

The name of this neighbourhood references a non-existent now hill of the same name with quarries where stones were excavated in the 18th-19th cc. The Kamenitsa neighbourhood is divided into two parts. It is also associated with the beer factory of that name and its brandname of beer but the ale production has been moved out of Plovdiv and there is only a museum in its place to bear witness to the past of the factory. The administrative borders of the neighbourhood in the Eastern district are the St Petersburg Boulevard to the south, Iztochen Boulevard to the west, Maria Louisa Boulevard to the north, and the Lev Tolstoy Street and Bogomil Street to the east.
