Komatevo
Komatevo is situated to the south-west, by the ringroad. The first sources about the settlement date back to 1477 when it was founded by Christian soldiers who had a special status in the Ottoman Empire. They were responsible for the Sultan’s stables near Plovdiv and were an integral part of the military supply during army campaigns. Up to 1969 Komatevo was a village that was later integrated in the administrative territory of Plovdiv.
